That’s correct. I am an aspiring developer currently in a bootcamp. As a new developer, I see Tech giants laying off employees and to make the matter worse, many people, particularly YouTubers are saying that AI will take over the Tech industry and put people out of jobs. Like everybody will be going home to become homeless, can’t find jobs to put food on their table, pay their rent or bills. It’s kind of scary and frustrating for new developers. I remember back in the days like 20 - 30 years ago, people were saying that QuickBooks was not worth learning because of the emergence of new Accounting technologies. Now I regret why I never learned QuickBooks over those years. QuickBooks is still in demand in the bookkeeping and accounting industry and I believe it is not going anywhere soon. I think I agree with you that AI will enhance the job of developers rather than putting developers out of job. Those who are discouraging us from learning programming and how to code are causing us more harm than Ai. Is there any hope for those going to bootcamp or college to become software developers?Or should we just quit our dreams and go learn how to drive truck? What are these guys talking about? Are they concluding that coding or programming is no longer worth it even getting a degree and building portfolio and gaining the skills and experience?
