This whole situation seems to be like an attack on Talent itself. In very few of these videos I hear the word "Talent" mentioned. Talent is something that's mostly a gift at birth, and otherwise it would take INSANE amount of HARD WORK to become otherwise talented. So essentially, in my opinion, AI replaced that hard work, and not only made untalented people look gifted, but also lazy people look successful. The way AI users somehow hold a grudge against artists, who initially did nothing against them (in fact, we helped them exist) seems to me as insecurity induced superiority complex. These people, who have never put in a single hour to practice, study and experiment can now just sit down, go to a website and create images to sooth their on mind. On the contrary: What gives me hope is a fairly simple concept. As AI replaces more and more tasks, the human brain simply gets less and less stimulated, eventually degenerating into a low functioning state. Masses will become nothing but mindless consumers doomed to failure, while on the other side, people who never gave up practice and creativity give their brain impulses that will keep it advancing. Dont give up art, dont give up talent and practice DONT GIVE UP HOPE. These people who are boasting with their AI algorithms and created images will be the first ones to completely cease to exist as humans, while talented people will eventually remain.
