I believe the job of a law enforcement officer will be safe for the foreseeable future. You need that tactile presence of a human to carry out the physical aspect of the job. Do I believe that AI will assist in some functions, absolutely… but the physical aspects of actually placing handcuffs on another human, especially one that’s resisting or combative just can’t be replaced by a computer just yet…
