There's the story about the gold rush and the ones who made a living were the ones selling shovels. Buy energy. AI uses enormous amounts of energy, and AI has not found a profitable revenue model because AI is getting more expensive, not less. Not to mention, we seem to be way far away from AGI. If the reasoning models of AI are this energy consumptive... imagine literally any step closer to AGI.
