To be fair, asking ChatGPT about someone else's conversation is like cloning you, then later asking you why you did something your clone did. You could speculate, but without having the experience of your clone, you would say "I didn't do that"... because you didn't.
LLMs like ChatGPT are stateless. They don't have an internal state or memory. They can only carry a conversation because we feed them the entire conversation from beginning to current every time you send a message. There are "memory" features, where the AI can be given information from past conversation so it appears to remember, but it's basically given search results from previous conversations that might be relevant.
It's also worth pointing out that LLMs are intentionally non-deterministic. Outputs are not necessarily the same for a given input. That is by design because we prefer that.
