I care about artist's well being as much as I care about youtuber's well being, not much. The way I see it is pretty much like a new automation era, people lost their jobs to machines in the factories, jobs change and evolve all the time, if you can't make a living out of that, it's sad for you but that's just the nature of progress. Either use the new tools at your disposal or stop being a full time artist when it's no longer profitable. I've personally never hired an artist because I don't care about doing a furry OC or whatever it is most of them do for their commission works, never will commission art from them. But AI can help me make a quick doodle into a somewhat non vomit inducing example for my friends. I think most of the AI gen community just don't care about art/artists. The only change is corporations are going to use less humans, people who care about artists are going to continue to buy art from them. Btw I've never paid for ai services and self host pretty much everything I use, in that case, do you have a problem with my use of AI? TL;DR my point is people who care about art being done by humans will continue to support artists, people who don't, won't. The only difference is corporations are able to reduce human labor costs, which could be either good or bad depending on how you view things
