The entire 'AI art makes art accessible' argument bothers me a bunch as a professional artist. I would be like everyone else if I didn't put 22 YEARS (since age 7) of hard, nearly daily practice and learning into what I do. That's not an accessibility issue; it's an effort issue. Anyone can learn to draw. That is my core belief. Anyone can learn about color combinations, anyone can learn about anatomy, anyone can learn about different styles of art and how to create them. Then, what you have to do is practice... and practice... and practice. Even now, I am still learning, despite the fact that I am the art director at a game studio. I learn every day, from different people. *THAT'S* the reason I can create beautiful things... it was never that art wasn't accessible, the fact is that there's a whiny mass of lazy morons who don't want to put the effort into creating it. If you have eyes and a pair of hands, you CAN make art. Heck, there are blind sculptors and painters that can only use their toes. There's no excuse. And for the argument of 'oh that takes time and I wouldn't be able to follow my other hobbies' - no shit. I missed out on years and years of interactions, friendships, days in the sun, etc to get where I am. That's called reality, baby. You can't have it both ways.
