In some ways it is actually helpful - interpreting medical results..in addition to the doctor's sometimes minimal explanations. I am an educator and was down on AI..I have been critically assessing as I use it. I have never seen it encouraging self harm..that is chat gpt. Quite the opposite. Also it has supplemented much of the information I already had had relating to medical products. What it points to is encouraging students/users to cross check all information received from it. One thing you can do is ask it for web sources. That doesn't mean more transparency is not needed..because it is..especially in regards to the collection of personal data. That needs to be very transparent.
