Garbage like this is going on, and then you have people (mostly sexist men) out there trying to minimize the pressure and pitfalls of being a female in this world. Not to say this type of abuse/bullying doesn't happen to males, because of course it does. It just happens more frequently to women, who already tend to have shaky support when it comes to their general wellbeing. Imagine having absolutely no way to prove you didn't do these things, having them happen on a whim from someone else, and having zero avenues of recourse to clear your name because the false imagey is so convincing. You can't telepathically show someone you never did that thing. This is such an unprecented danger. Unless countries light a fire under their own asses to update legistlation protecting people from this (and a way to determine authenticity of the images and videos), we're screwed. Other things will eventually be deepfaked. This is literally how World War III starts. Edit: Jesus, some of these men sound just as dented as the people here in the US. Millions of cows were killed over what happened. It was horrible on many levels. Mad cow still pops up in places where it was an issue before in small numbers, with the ocassional epidemic (at least over in the UK; I can't quite recall the last news-worthy outbreak in the US, but I'm sure it's happened since 2008). Someone who doesn't know anything about prion diseases shouldn't be so confidently vitriolic. What a joke. Then again, these are the same dummies claiming COVID was a conspiracy. Yet, there are research medical journals from 2000 citing that scientists knew it was only a matter of time before coronoviruses associated with illnesses like the common cold and such would mutate enough to become an epidemic, or even a pandemic. Coronoavirsus are highly adaptable and quick to change. It makes sense.
