Indeed it's a good joke, teaching morality from humans. So, this is why is so important to learn it from a superior intelligence.
When I was around 8 years old I thought that the laws and the criminality are judged by a super computer. And this was around the year 1985.
In time I realized that the judges are humans, which were only humans, with their flaws, their own unique experiences, needs and families who need to be protected even from these human laws... from the human morality.
So, yes! We need to be corrected or even extinguished in the same way the humanity chooses to spray the mosquitoes at the beginning of every summer.
Anyway, free will is only in our imagination. And if some people could realize that, then for the AI it's a certainty.
