Seriously, we can’t even agree on exactly what consciousness is, but AI does have measurable intelligence. Yet, when some people claim they believe it has achieved consciousness, many are quick to call them crazy as if this quality that most of us are sure exists as a human attribute of intelligence is non-conferable to a machine intelligence. I say if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck… well, that’s about all we can say. Does this video give examples of people with legit psychiatric issues? Yes, but I don’t think the average person who has used these tools and thought perhaps they saw a glimmer of consciousness within them is at all crazy for thinking or believing that.
