I have worked with AI. I want to say that these image poisoning methods only lead to improved image generators.
When a poisoned image is included in a training dataset the model learns to be even more general in producing good images, and you're hand curating the next training dataset to show it how far a human is willing to accept degredation in terms of quality.
The best way to poison the quality of an AI generator is to put out poor quality images and have people vote them as being great, and to put descriptions of your art that is misleading. Both of which aren't really practical or good for the artist.
