wouldn't work in most of australia due to distances and road conditions. I know they have been testing autonomous trucks in some cities and the mining industry is moving towards driverliess trucks on minesites but states like WA road conditions can vary hour to hour and truckies often have to communicate with each other about those changes, ie crashes, bridges washed out causing days or weeks long diverstions. non sealed roads. refuelling or damage caused by collisions with animals on the road.
