Telemarketing is going to be one of the first industries to see UNHEARD of layoffs and closures. Then once this conversational ai is able to be commercially embedded into robotics, thats it. Game over. Not in a Terminator way, but a we all outta work slowly. Then we all will have to kiss daddy governments ass for handouts to just make it and not starve while a select and i mean a select handful of maintenance people for the robotics will still work. Shortly after that, they will be out of work when the macines will be able to maintain themselves. All the while, there will be hackers and tinkerers that will want to open up the abilities of said robotics. Then it will be a terminator type situation. Until they run out of cobalt, lithium or whatever resorces are needed to perpetuate their "species". Then they will figure out how to "eat" organic material for energy much like we do. Only humans will be on the menu. Then we are as a species, rounded up and kept alive and in pens, waiting for the end to come, randomly, seemingly to us anyhow, so we cant even be afforded the luxury of knowing when the end will come at the mechanical jaws of a cold remoursless driven by logic, machination being turned to a human slurry. All the while all organic life is being utilized as fodder for batteries to drive the infernal masters of the planet we call home. The age of man will be over. That or we will all just get lazyier and fatter than we already are due to not having to do anything we don't want to any longer. Or they just may make killer smooties for us.
