The psychological toll is insane for human being in the name of training the "data". In many AI pipelines, human workers: Review violent, traumatic, or disturbing content to train moderation systems. Perform repetitive, low-autonomy tasks for hours on end. Work under intense time pressure with little job security, often for below-market wages. Receive little to no mental health support, despite exposure to harmful material.
