I think what's frustrating about AI is that beauty isn't a strong indicator of effort anymore, and usually, with effort comes intent.
It's harder to discern AI art that took a lot of effort from that which didn't take any. Meaning it can have intent, but it feels like a gamble to figure out if you're wasting your time trying to find it.
i.e. Part of the fun for me is figuring out the whys, how's, etc. and all that (what's the story, how are things connected), and that's enabled by the artists intent and effort to realise it, otherwise it just feels like a lie, and I don't like the idea of believing a possible lie.
