Hi! I'm one of those people that believe copyright isn't really good. I see it as a bandage that covers a huge crack. It IS better than nothing but those big companies STILL make use of it. Copyright is a symptom of how capitalism pollutes the art space as now artists are FORCED to copyright their work or it would be the "right" of big companies to use it. Not only does copyrighting require money and some legal help that ALSO costs money, it is STILL a legal document with loopholes. I still can't forget Disney stretching their copyright claims or the fact that many creators that straight up OPPOSE their work being fed to a larg company's project (AI, slop movie, etc) can copyright their work, only for the company to take it after a few years. I oppose copyright rules because they ARE pretty predatory but, unfortunately, in the desert of capitalism, a sip of water is still a relief 💀
P.S: I DO believe that, as long as capitalism sits on the side of companies, we unfortunately need copyright.
