The reason in my opinion that AI supporters are spewing, AI is going to take jobs and such, is because they need to make a market for AI, they are creating the hype for AI based on making people scared.
Scared people, start learning to use AI, more subscribers for AI, I mean after all, these companies are not making money, at least not yet, so what better way to make money to keep the lights on, by getting people subscribing to AI, for the reason no one wants left behind the curve.
Subscribe now, learn now, pay a subscription fee to do all this.
These companies are making the market right in front of us. Without us really noticing.
