I’m a 2d animator and have always tried to keep up with new ways to speed up my process or help on personal projects with parts I don’t enjoy so much like finding reference material, inbetweens for frame by frame animation and colouring. I tried to use it on my last animation on a couple scenes where I drew the main poses and tried to describe the movement. What it ended up doing was taking my drawing and warping it into some other ai style. With colouring my line work it did the shame thing. It coloured my picture but changed the style so it no longer looks like my line work. I think this is what’s going to be the downfall of gen ai. Now I think no matter how i use it it will always end up taking away what makes my work unique and the reason I get work in the first place.
