Okay this is tough to admit but I sometimes use ai to touch up my writing when I don't think it's good enough, and I used to think that it was one of the better uses of ai because it was still my writing, just "higher quality". But I'm starting to see why that was just me justifying something I know is wrong. The more I think about it, the more I realize that even if they're my words written in a more complex manner, they're not what I have to say in the way I want to say it. Part of the fun of writing used to be the trial and error, that I could write a chapter, get my bro to read it and tell me it's ass and then edit it to make it better and feel proud of myself when he tells me it's slightly less ass. Now I feel like even though I still love it, writing is a chore, and it's because that's what I turned it into, writing, copying and pasting to chatgpt, then deleting my original work in favour of the "better" version is not fun, even if I enjoy the results. Thank you for this video man, it really helped change my perspective in a way that most other posts couldn't.
