Ai struggles when it comes to uncommon problems in languages that aren’t in the top 5 most popular in large amounts of code. The problem is that companies code bases are giant, they probably use legacy tools and uncommon languages, and innovation means you’re dealing with new or uncommon problems. At its core ai can’t replace programmers but it can be used as a tool to assist us, though you need to be careful because it is shown that a over reliance on ai tools hurts your problem solving skills when problem solving is the most valuable skill that you as a developer have
