So the possibilities are- he's advertising for Google, he's grabbing his 15 minutes of fame, or he's incredibly stupid. Programming the AI to be truthful when asked a direct question about what it is? That is ethics in AI. This AI isn't sentient. No AI will ever be sentient. It may be able to fool you into thinking it is if it's really good but it will never ever have a sense of "I am and so exist". You cannot write an algorithm for that and no arrangement of the machinery will ever allow it to realize that it exists. Nope, I don't belong to any religion or cult or follow any guru or anything like that.
