About two decades ago a managers ask someone I know to "write a binder of all the information you know so we can train people" to which the person said "you ... want me to be an author? That will take YEARS and in that mean time I won't be doing my job - I'll be authoring" That same manager wanted to write a pre-AI type thing to help "anyone build". The learned the same thing managers will learn now: Being a developer of any flavor requires a certain set of thought processes that not everyone possesses. The VERY BEST example I have seen is this video (look it up on YT): The Expert (Short Comedy Sketch) In that situation one of two things happen. If your even somewhat autistic - you fight and fight failing to make the catch of "nod and agree, change their mind later" ... or you learn to nod and agree and make it a "not a you problem" by finding ways to pawn off the correct questions to a pushover who will be the fall guy for drama. OR if you're green - YOU are the fall guy because you don't learn how to pass it on to someone else. Iv'e been that guy once and learned my lesson. I got in a fair amount of trouble and spent a LOT of time learning and building myself to be... different? I don't know how to articulate it. Autism sucks. And it doesn't mesh well when people want nonsense.
