The "why there's no robot that does labor" question just shows how people get immediately used to appliances. There are programmable cooking appliances, smart thermostats (and smart home in general), washers and dryers, dishwashers, robots that vacuum and mop. In our apartment a robot vacuums and mops, lights turn on and off automatically, blinds open and close automatically. We don't have a lawn or a pool but if we did, I would most likely get a robot lawnmower and a robot pool cleaner - because they don't just exist, they have been available to general public for a while now. And factories have specialized robots that just do so much. All that is normal now. But people seem to want a creepy humanoid robot.
