i feel like ai is good in that if i wanted a image of a penquin dancing on a castle wall in space then i could get that but before ai i coudnt and would just cry myself to sleep XD or pay someone which i wouldn't do because i dont need the image for anything HOWEVER if the image has a purpose, like art, "special art", logos, games, websites and other business related stuff then you shouldn't use ai but hire artists which is also what they would have done anyway if ai wasnt here so in this scenario the only diffence ai would make is peoples fucked up ideas can come to life at the small cost of less likes on social media for artists but it wouldnt really hurt their jobs , so nobody loses (TLDR: in a perfect world, AI for gimmicks and giggles, artists for business and quality)
