When comparing AI with humans and by that setting the gold standard of "Intelligence", I'm sure we'll be fine.
Surpassing human intelligence surely means having information pathways equally as short and highly efficient as human brains.
Superconductors at room temperature perhaps? As tiny as neurons and equally self reparing as neurons maybe?
If that thing must sense in order to feel, then maybe tiny antennas and probes? Better not let them break, so somehow encase and protect the antennas.
In order to prevent data overkill, install some checks and filters.
Might as well build our self a human.
Maybe on a far larger scale at the cost of thinking speed.
Perhaps it'll be the size of our solar system.
