This whole debate entirely depends upon how you're defining art. AI tools massively speed up and reduce cost for game production, movie vfx budgets, commercial graphics design etc. Basically commercial art becomes cheaper and more accessible to all the companies thus commercial artists have lesser value because of AI. Is that a bad thing? I don't think so. Commerical art emerged as a way of marketing a product. It was never a medium of human emotional expression per se. Like we connect to brands but that's not the primary purpose. So AI art is valid because it serves the purpose of a company - marketing at cheap prices at scale in a short amount of time. But if you ask the artists who pursue art as a way of expression, this discussion is moot. If AI uses a bunch of original art and recreats something, the monetary and emotional value reduces exponentially thus even if the artist is not getting credit or money for their work, the AI art itself is not generating the value but rather its speed of execution which was never the point of art anyway. Original art done for expression will remain valid and valuable as long as humans are around.
