Why can't we foster an environment where the best minds in the AI world (be they American, Chinese, Russian, or Egyptian) get together and steer this amazing technology into the road of solving real problems facing humanity? Problems such as debilitating diseases, climate change, world hunger, and the likes? We are yet again about to miss a tremendous opportunity to advance our shared cause.
