I'm a Computer Scientist, a high-level Software Engineer, and I can tell you ... this is an absurd demonstration. It essentially has no figments of consciousness whatsoever ... it's exhibiting nothing more than Simulated AI.
Getting the robot to describe itself as having emotions, getting it to describe itself as self-protective, and in particular getting it to respond to proximity and not to the manipulation of itself is particularly pathetic.
