Who is going to pay the bill for the computational power required by this general intelligence AI? Until and if we have a new breakthrough in computing where we can do orders of magnitude more work with the same energy requirements all of this is purely theoretical as a discussion. Once the breakthrough happens I agree we're screwed. We are currently paying a significant amount of the human wealth into powering the biological computers in our brains. Our brains are significantly more efficient than non biological computers.
