What gets me is that the arguments AI thumpers use are EXACTLY the same as cryptobros! Eerily so. These LLMs absolutely displace artists like me.
I'm scared that I will never be able to support myself off my art or even SHARE it with the world, because these vultures just want low effort slop, and they want it now.
There's also, quite literally, a radius of dangerously levelled POLLUTION around each and every giant unappealing warehouse used to hold each of the models. Yeah! That's right, these generators exist in the real world. And they are hurting the people who are unfortunate enough to be stuck next to these things.
They also affect the literal power grid near them. Just to add insult to injury, they make the lifespan of the very appliances you use shorter, if you live too close.
Your fridge requires a specific electrical frequency to be effective. These warehouses suck up so much energy that it disrupts that frequency around them.
