Elon told his kids to follow their hearts to choose whatever they think is valuable to do. But that's only applicable for his kids. To the commoners on the street, he was saying enjoy your last few years or a decade of human freedom & existence, keep good memories of being a part of this beautiful planet, and be grateful for what you have enjoyed, laughters, tears, sweat, sighs...... and move on even if the collective human race might become extinct because a more superior form of being supersedes us, like what we homo vertebrates did to the dinosaurs.
