NDG obviously hasn’t read Dune.Which to this day seems to be right on the money when it comes to AI.
The AI takeover doesn’t seem to be the violent revolution in Terminator, but more sinister and subtle where we are pushed to depend more and more on it and "offload" challenging tasks that makes us grow and understand until our abilities, and cognitive skills deteriorate to the point where we are unable to push back.
If we start to rely too much upon systems created with AI that we don’t understand we become vulnerable to being manipulated and controlled be the same system and not the other way around.
The danger is us slowly being lulled to sleep by convenience, similar to the frog being boiled alive so slowly it doesn’t notice.
