I agree with the artists on this one, but making such a change would require a court mandate, and even then it would take many years. Then it's gonna kill the AI image generators, which is something AI companies definitely dont want. I think a likely solution is to pay the artists royalty. Similar to Spotify for example, artists receive royalty everytime their work is being listened to, and in this case artists would opt-in to AI generators and receive royalties everyimte their work is being used.
