I don't know if this is possible, but assuming AI doesn't obliterate humanity, and that AI takes over jobs that require cognitive prowess the same way industrialization takes over physical jobs, what we will have left... Is our free will
And as a species that has strived for epochs, we can finally rid ourselves of what caused so much pain to our species: our rejection of this world that is apathic to our survival, which becomes our lack of mastery of ego. I imagine we will make peace with ourselves for not being extraordinary individuals, and will appreciate existing as is. In this possibility, basically we ascend from our baser instincts.
Another scenario I wonder could happen is that we merge with AI tech via implants to elevate our physical and cognitive prowess. If we can custom make tools to translate bits to neuron connections in the brain, I won't lie, that sounds very sweet. Assuming a translation device is physically possible
