I think these people are not thinking about how difficult it is for seniors to understand the new technologies. I actually know seniors that stopped going to fast food restaurants to meet other seniors bc food prices have gone up so much and in order to get a discount or get a better deal you have to have the app installed in your phone and know how to use. Some of these people don't know what an app is and many still don't have or cannot afford a smart phone as hard as it might be for many to believe. And that is just an example. These new technologies are discarding our seniors like they are trash or recyclables and are leaving them more and more isolated. It's horrible. The other issue with AI is that if people don't have jobs and the government cuts all these social programs people will revolt. It would not be the first time in human history that hungry people have done away with the people they think are harming them and society as a whole.
