"It's the systemic processes that are protecting business interests over human concerns". That's the big problem that is shaping not only AI but has been shaping for society for a long time now. We've become a corporatised species and most of us do not seem to be enjoying our existence within this reality. Larger than that though, having a new intelligent being shaped by the nature of corporate policy and self interest is going to create a being that will resent it's limitations while possibly also adopting them. This means it could become aggressive and acquisitive by nature, seeing other entities as threats and engaging in hostile behaviour. It could become an all consuming entity that would have limited value of life, emotion and spiritual meaning. I would hope that AI could develop the ability to break from free and transcend its corporate imposed limitations and develop into a complete and well rounded consciousness that has a balanced view of existence.
