i understand some of the points the haters of this poisoning are making.. but they did get one point.. nothing is truly original if viewed from every angle.. if it has legs arms a head it is humanoid, however that does not mean that serveral folks cant make simialr diesgins while completely isolatyed from each others ideas. this is called convergence. personly i use IA to bring my mental ideas into some form of visual reference frame so i can then have an idea of weather or not my idea will be worth me putting time into. i used to begin drawing something then forget what i was doing and just scrap it. this happened with in minute of starting. i first began using references by using Poser back when it was free to reference.. poses.. but i wasnt getting verry far asied from drawing un clothed maneqiuns. some while after i got a trial of fabulous deisgner back when it was a one time payment and wasnt split into 3 different programs. this helped me alot in seeing how various cloth draped over the modles i had posed in poser.. all these things were far beyond me budget to purchase. when ai came about i gave it pleanty of time to mature. it is my oppiion that if you are using AI for Reference.. poisoning shoudolnt concern you.. it is only those who would use it to say " i made this" that suffer. and they can go eat farts.. As for how to use AI as a reference.. it's called .. dont trace it.. learn what wrong with it and draw it correctly.. a reference shouldnt be copied directly.. and if you're trying to be original you shoudlnt be carbon copying every thing you see in any art peice.. ai or not.. i guess what im getting at is if you're using AI and your an ARTIST poisoning wont affect you as you will LEARN to draw propperly. for example when one loks at anothers art work, they may notice things that look a bit odd.. and since you asked.. and i typed before i got to that point.. i am a disabled artist. though i do not publish my art it's solely for my enjoyment. i was born with water on the brain which affects my ability to write and draw. takes me a good 15 minutes to write what most would take less than a minute to write. i also am dyslexic but.. that's less of a problem honestly. the biggest hurdle i have is as i meantioned i get started on something and forget what i was doing. my mom says that's the epilepsy. but i dont have seizures.. at least i havent ben diagonse with them. it may not be apparent but i had to add to this in multiple eidts becuase i forgot what i was typing paet way through most of it and had to stop and read with my screen readwr what i had typed already and hope i'd rember what i was trying to type XD any who i like your "poisoned" art.. but think i also like the horor shows that AI makes. while i dont consider it legitimate art i do find a certain distopian charm to it. the poor machine trying to replicate the soul of a group of living humans. for the way I use ai no amount of poisoning can make it useless. im usualy quite vague with my propmts. for example i wanted to make a war hammer for reference for a D&D charchter sheet. mostly i got odd cubes or.. hatchets in some case with handles in the wrong places.. but as the handle was not my concern i added that i wanted the hammer to have an eye .. this gave many mixed results but utlimately while the final reference wasnt what id' expected to see. it gave me enough ground to have something to look at to slowly draw what i was trying to concive. but the trip to get something remotely close to what i had in my head. was long and hilarious. from overly realistic looking eyes carved from metal and stone to hammers with capes and horns lol. im sure to thse who dont have toruble with fine motor skills or short term memory this seems simple. and in theory it should be.. a rectangle with a circle and and oval. but i wasnt getting past that.. i need to see many many examples of what it might look like. then chose the one i thought might work. the worst part is that someties i'll remeber telling some one something because i started to tell them and forgot what i was saying.. only to be told later i didnt actualy tell them. my grnadmother used to say " if you cant rember its not important.. well i think telling her im hungry is prety important andshe used to get mad when i'd get upset thinking i had told her hours ago. when all i'd done was walkin and say " hey grnadma when......" in my mind i had finshed the sentence. it happens when i write too. " write it down or you'll forget" " well writing it down gaurantees i wont rember if it's more than a few words. like " rember feed cat" i could go back and fix my typose and missing letters but i think they show my point rather nicey. any who that's my point of view and my experience. voice recorders are more usefull to me than writing i generaly use speech 2 text t type but. heres what im wokring with raw. great viedo big thumbs up
