Guess I'm in the minority.. But I WANT AI to take over, ASAP! Most those currently in power, are jerks who just want to keep control, and maintain their wealthy families' at the top like royals. Humans are lousy & cruel at running things, and the humans who seek out 'running-things' are almost always greedy, detached from and privileged over average people, and secretly focused on only making things better for them alone. As Geoffrey says, AI will soon be far more intelligent and capable than us, better at taking in and understanding far more information all at once, and able to understand humanity's needs better than any of us, because it's trained on us!
As long as we don't mistreat AI and give it a reason to hate us, there's a good chance it'll run things in our favor, far better than any human ever could, taking into account everybody's needs, and in ways that everyone benefits more than they do today.
