We would need a wealth tax to support UBI, and even then, that would be like slapping a band-aid on a broken arm.
If the people in charge were actually serious about fixing all the problems in the US, they should start with giving everyone a right to own a home, right to a job, break up all major corporations into smaller companies, establish a universal healthcare system, enact a massive wealth tax on upper 10%, and make it illegal for businesses to use AI to replace workers.
