Your video is a masterclass in emotional reasoning disguised as a logical argument.
Let's start with your main ethical claim: that the "main problem" is theft. This is your most fundamentally dishonest point. An AI learns from a vast dataset of images, exactly how a human artist learns by studying thousands of paintings, styles, and compositions.
But let's take your logic seriously. If that's "theft" then all creation is theft. Every artist "steals" from every piece of art they've ever seen. In fact, every human "steals" from the billions of stimuli they've received since birth. Without being influenced by the outside world, you couldnt even form a thought, let alone create art. You re just drawing an arbitrary line and calling one "inspiration" and the other "theft" based on your bias against the tool
This brings us to the real issue, which you admit at 5:17: even if it were 100% ethical, you still wouldn't like it. Why? Because you're clinging to a flawed, romanticized belief that art is only about the creator's laborious process.
This is a failure to understand what art actually is. Art is, and has always been, more about the viewer's interpretation than the creator's expression. Interpretation is the foundation. Before any expression can happen, you must first interpret the world, or your own internal state.
Does a breathtaking landscape have a "human process"? Does a flower? Does the reflection in a puddle? No. But they can all be profound works of art because a human interprets them as such. An AI image is just another object in the world, like that landscape. Its origin is irrelevant. The art happens in the mind of the person looking at it. The "soul" isn't injected by a struggling artist,t's generated by the viewer
You're not defending art. You're defending a specific, outdated method of creation. The real problem isn't the technology, it's your inability to separate an image's value from your own nostalgia for a specific process.
