Retired developer here.
Knowing how to code is NOT enough. Developers also need the organizational/institutional knowledge of the systems that they are building/fixing codes for,
In the early 2000s when we started to get offshore contractors, it was an uphill battle to explain to them our business and organizational rules and history of past projects to them before/as they code.
Hope these companies train their AI on those things or they are gonna get garbage or violate laws/regulations.
Updates of Windows systems and smart phones are so horrible now that i stopped automatically updating them.
