sometimes "Luddite" ends up being shorthand for "I am clearly new here" lol EDIT: Also, i lost my ability to draw due to a brain injury. I decided that instead of using a tool that takes away all the most fun parts of being creative, like coming up with the details of your character that ai just ignores, i could either pay my nice art friends to draw things for me, or i can embrace the scrungly-ness of my current drawing abilities. It's about perspective. Telling yourself "i could never do that" informs your subconscious that the thing you're referring to might be dangerous. The more you tell yourself that, the more anxiety you get at the idea of actually trying it yourself. THAT'S why these people gravitate to AI. They want all the reward of making art without any of the risk of failing that learning it themselves might come with. I advise they talk to a therapist about their artistic insecurities, that seems unhealthy to be so blindly defensive like some of those commenters come off.
