Consciousness is something you cannot prove scientifically, only philosophically, so don't believe everything they say, specially CEOs from big tech companies who are actually developing the supposedly ultra dangerous AI. They are in that stage in which they sell you the big problem through marketing and propaganda, then, close to 2029, which is the promise these companies like OpenAI did to their investors that are going to start winning tons of money (yeah because right now they are loosing it), you will notice a change in what they say, in that moment they will sell you the solution. This has happened tons of times before with several different companies and industries, sugar, tabacco, eggs, big pharma... so please don't believe everything they say.
