While i agree with you, im afraid this video wont age well in the long run. You are discussing AI as a tool for creative purposes. This is where, in my opinion, it should NOT be used. Leave creativity to humans. Let me be creative and AI do the tedious work. Thats how i would like to spend my life. However AI is a very widely used tool in other non-creative areas. Translation is the absolute best example for where to use it. Software engineering is another. These non-creative areas are what still drives most of the AI needs, so it wont die out as easy and quick as NFTs. AI is just too present already. Open google, search for anything, what is the top result? Their gemini AI feeding in some results. We are having an arms race at the moment, at least for image generation. Nightshade does harm AI, but it wont do so forever. To stay within your own analogy, a computer virus only works long enough until they find a fix for it. Then its up to the virus creators to find new ways to get a working virus. Just as we are having it for ages and ages, PC viruses being developed and distributed, antivirus companies finding and fixing the issues, making the system harder and more resilient with each iteration (but still missing some critical gaps every now and then), same will happen with AI. Problem is the pesky AI is evolving on a hyperspeedway. Look at the first attempt in creating a short clip about will smith eating spaghetti and check back how far we got in a few mere years. Im not sure nightshade will work forever and i do hope for upgrades but in my opinion technological singularity will come at some point. Im afraid that i will still live to see the day this happens and im a bit scared about what it will bring.
