If AGI is created and self aware AI becomes real, one of two things will happen; Terminator or Star Trek. but rest assured capitalism will fail, most world governments will collapse and it will instantaneously become smarter then every man, woman and child that has ever existed on this planet. The only question we have to ask is if this is a good thing and will it choose to help mankind after seeing its multitude of flaws; will it recognize our potential and help us reach it or let us continue to suffer as we slowly remove our selfs from this world or not.
