I can agree with most people in the comments: The road is dangerous not because of the road itself, but rather because of those drivers navigating it. And because self-driving cars are the safest drivers, the road for them is very safe. I'm sure, that if you decide to test the self-driving software on a different, less well-maintaned road then... you shouldn't do that.
