Uber's existence is dependent on the availability of autonomous vehicles by the end of this decade. It wont happen. But even if it does happen, what would stop you from buying an autonomous vehicle, having it drive you to work, and then go out and make money for you driving for a, now nonexistent, Uberesque operation that connects riders with independent drivers?
