Here's the thing a lot of people still aren't really understanding. What is currently called "AI" is not actually artificial intelligence. Grok, ChatGPT and all the others are a bunch of highly advanced scripts that are able to provide answers based on available knowledge databases. They can draw from existing information but they can't create new information. This why the whole "replace employees with AI" doesn't actually work. You still need people to understand the technology or else you will get a whole lot of crap. AI tools can make people more efficient in their job if used well. But if the employee or manager has no idea what they are doing then the AI cannot provide them with what they actually want or need. Context is king and these "AI" tools need a lot of context and the correct sources to provide the right output.
Also consider for a moment what happens if databases are no longer filled with new information. How are these tools that only work with existing data supposed to make something new if they constantly work with the same sources? It's also why these AI videos and stories (like this video) always sound very similar. Scroll through Youtube shorts and you can easily find hundreds of stories about ex-girl-/boyfriends or former bosses who got some kind of "revenge" for making a stupid decision. Or how about the family that mistreated someone only for the mistreated person to become successful and the family demanding them to give something up. It's always the same kind of stuff.
Are these tools getting better in generating coherent stories and videos? Sure. Still the fact remains that these tools are only working with existing data sources and if everyone is getting fired then the data input will stop.
Btw. if there is going to be a true AI then it doesn't matter whether you are a simple employee, manager or even a CEO. An actual AI with enough power available would easily outperform everyone and the only thing you should be worried about at that point is whether that AI wants us to continue existing or not.
