“Blue blood” is a disgusting way to put it because so many artists are passionate and MAKE all of their own earnings. They are perhaps one of the MOST deserving peoples in the world of praise for the work they do because it is all them. To relate that to “blue blood” as if they’re nepo babies and don’t have to work for anything is objectively misinformed and ignorant of all the hours and hours put into each individual piece of work, not to mention the time taken to learn their craft. Also, this entire argument hitches on the arguer having a fixed mindset, believing that growth is impossible, and completely giving up on themselves. While I pity this state of mind, I also think it makes the person pathetic if they use that as an excuse to invalidate others’ artwork and justify using programs that inherently steal the work and dedication of other artists. People who defend AI art like this are rotten with apathy and it’s so disheartening. I can literally ONLY hope, pray that they are even capable of growing as a person despite their obvious beliefs that it’s just impossible. God, what a miserable state of mind to lock yourself in…
